URBAN REGENERATION AND REPURPOSING OF 1950’S OFFICE BLOCK

A dilapidated 1950’s office block down had to be stripped down to its frame, for us to re-fit, re-fenestrate, and re-purpose the entire building into a mixed-use development, suitable for its location on a bustling thoroughfare in Clapham.
This mixed-use development provided vital retail space, and affordable housing much needed in the area. What once were office spaces, were redesigned into a block of 23 flats, new street level retail units, and an additional storey of penthouse apartments with panoramic views over central London and the City.
The project was accomplished with minimal street level disruption for the residents. The build makes the most of the extensive glazing through its contemporary interior design, with light and bright spaces in the apartments.
